Frederico Augusto Pieruccini Moojen, nicknamed Freddy, is a Canadian soccer forward who plays for the Dallas Sidekicks in the MASL in the United States during winter and for the Canadian Futsal Team at the international level. Freddy speaks Portuguese, French, Spanish and English. He also holds a Provincial B License from Canada Soccer.
Born in 1983 in Brazil, Freddy was 6 years old when he started playing soccer for CN Marcílio Dias. He grew up playing soccer, futsal, beach soccer, footvolley...
Freddy has an impressive track record at the professional level. He started his career in the United States in the NCAA playing for various American clubs. He was drafted by the Montreal Impact in 2007 before settling in the Quebec metropolis and becoming a Canadian citizen in 2013. Since 2016, he has also played with the Canadian Futsal Team. In his first Futsal championship (CONCACAF 2016) he scored 5 goals in 3 games and was named top scorer of the championship (Golden Boot).
His scoring talent has even led him to play all over the world, including with Polish and Thai clubs.
Since 2020, Freddy has been playing in the United States for the Dallas Sidekicks Soccer Club.
With 14 years of professional experience and a diverse international background, Freddy still has the flame of soccer burning within him and is now passing the torch to the next generation of young promising players.
