Born in 1980 in Portugal, Antonio Ribeiro immigrated with his family to Montreal in 1991. Soccer is the national sport of his home country and from a very young age, Antonio has been playing soccer with passion. His dream of becoming a professional player came true in 1996. At the age of 16, Antonio was selected by the Quebec soccer team, which marked the beginning of an inspiring career.

Today, Antonio is the president and founder of the Antonio Ribeiro Soccer School. A professional soccer player, Antonio is best known for his contribution to the evolution, success and influence of local soccer, having played as an attacking midfielder with the Montreal Impact for over 10 years. He also played in Major League Soccer (MLS) with the San Jose Earthquakes and was a member of the Canadian Soccer Team with whom he played several international matches. In addition to his many years of experience on the field as a professional player, Antonio is also the proud holder of a Provincial Coaching Diploma (DEP) awarded by the Quebec Soccer Federation. He also holds a national B license and is currently working towards obtaining his A license from Soccer Canada.

Antonio is also a sports analyst, soccer specialist, Administrator of the ASPAT which has 1000 children and Director of the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve Soccer Club (MHMC) which has 1300 children.

Antonio loves to share his passion and experience acquired over the years on the field. With the Antonio Ribeiro Soccer School, he continues to put his expertise in the game of soccer to the benefit of many soccer clubs and associations, elementary schools and individuals who are passionate about the most played sport on the planet: soccer!
